Job summary

Vultr seeks a Technical Support Engineer to join our global Technical Support team. You will provide advanced technical support for Vultr’s products and infrastructure, serving as an escalation point for complex issues and supporting both customers and internal teams in diagnosing and resolving platform‑related problems.

The role requires 3+ years in enterprise technical support, strong Linux command‑line troubleshooting, enterprise networking experience, and the ability to thrive in a 24/7

Qualifications

• 3+ years in enterprise technical support or similar advanced role.
• Strong Linux command-line troubleshooting and investigation skills.
• Experience diagnosing network and infrastructure issues in cloud environments.
• Experience supporting enterprise customer environments in an IaaS/cloud context.
• Excellent communication in high-pressure situations.

Responsibilities

• Respond to customer inquiries and provide guidance on Vultr products and services, including escalated issues.
• Act as first responder to platform alerts, assess impact, troubleshoot, and escalate as needed.
• Lead incident analysis, root cause investigations, and preventive recommendations.
• Coordinate with sysadmin, engineering, networking, and other teams to resolve outages.
• Create and maintain internal documentation and support procedures.
• Support enterprise customers’ environments regarding performance, availability, and configuration.
• Serve as SME, setting diagnostic standards for the support function.
• Participate in 24/7 team-based operations with scheduled shifts.
