Job summary

Kaiser Permanente in Oregon seeks a Registered Nurse for NICU care, collaborating with the health care team to diagnose and treat neonatal needs. The RN assesses, plans, directs, and evaluates nursing care while coordinating with other disciplines.

Required qualifications include Oregon RN license, BLS, and NICU experience or completion of the Kaiser Permanente NW RN New Grad Internship in NICU. Neonatal resuscitation training is required at hire.

Qualifications

• Minimum nine (9) months of RN experience.
• Or successful completion of the Kaiser Permanente NW RN New Grad Internship program in the NICU.
• Eighteen (18) months NICU experience in the last 5 years.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Basic Life Support required at hire.
• Registered Nurse License (Oregon).
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program required at hire.
• Computer keyboarding skills.
• Previous health care experience is preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in nursing or related field preferred.
• Bilingual Spanish-English preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assessment: Performs accurate multi-system assessments and discharge planning.
• Planning: Develops a nursing plan of care and documents patient teaching.
• Implementation: Administers medications, carries out physician orders, and uses EMR for documentation.
• Evaluation: Reassesses patient status and participates in unit quality activities.
