Job summary

Kaiser Permanente Northwest is seeking a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit RN in Oregon. The role focuses on assessing, planning, directing, providing and evaluating nursing care for newborns in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.

The ideal candidate has NICU experience, Oregon RN licensure, and BLS/NRP certifications. You will work a night shift with a 36-hour weekly schedule and contribute to discharge planning and patient education.

Qualifications

• Minimum nine (9) months of RN experience.
• Kaiser Permanente NW RN New Grad Internship program in the NICU.
• Eighteen (18) months NICU experience in the last 5 years.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Basic Life Support required at hire
• Registered Nurse License (Oregon)
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program required at hire
• Computer keyboarding skills.

Responsibilities

• Assessment: performs accurate multi-system assessments and discharge planning.
• Planning: develops an individualized nursing plan of care and coordinates with departments.
• Implementation: carries out physician plan of care and documents in the EMR.
• Evaluation: evaluates assessment methods and patient responses; participates in unit quality assurance.
