Job summary

Kaiser Permanente in the United States seeks a registered nurse in the NICU to provide comprehensive care for newborns. Under supervision, you will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care in collaboration with the health care team.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited nursing program, a valid RN license (Oregon), BLS and NRP at hire, and nine months of RN experience or completion of the Kaiser Permanente NW RN New Grad Internship in the NICU.

Qualifications

• Minimum nine (9) months of RN experience.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required at hire.
• RN License (Oregon) required.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) required at hire.
• Kaiser Permanente NW RN New Grad Internship in NICU is acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, direct, provide and evaluate nursing care for patients.
• Initiate appropriate measures and document in EMR per policy.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team for patient care and discharge planning.
• Evaluate patient responses to treatment and participate in quality assurance.
