Job summary

Kaiser Permanente in Oregon is hiring a registered nurse for the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. The role requires clinical judgment to diagnose and treat health problems, coordination with the health care team, and direct patient care in a NICU setting.

The candidate will perform assessments, develop care plans, implement physician orders, and participate in discharge planning. Oregon RN licensure, NRP and BLS are required; bilingual Spanish-English is a plus.

Qualifications

• RN license in Oregon; Neonatal experience required.
• Minimum nine (9) months of RN experience.
• Three (3) years Level III NICU experience within the last four (4) years.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• NRP and BLS required at hire.
• Computer keyboarding skills.
• Bilingual Spanish-English preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, direct and evaluate nursing care for NICU patients.
• Coordinate discharge planning with hospital and clinic teams.
• Document EMR, administer medications per physician orders.
• Participate in unit quality assurance activities.
