Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
  • Oregon RN license (registered nurse) required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) required at hire.
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) required at hire.
  • Minimum nine months of RN experience.
  • Eighteen months NICU experience in the last 5 years.
  • Kaiser Permanente NW RN New Grad Internship program in NICU.

Responsibilities

  • Performs accurate multi-system assessments and reassessments.
  • Develops and documents nursing plans of care and teaching plans.
  • Coordinates patient care activities and discharge planning with hospital departments and community agencies.
  • Administers medications per protocol and documents in EMR.
  • Initiates appropriate measures in emergency situations and evaluates patient response.
