Job summary

Kaiser Permanente NW in Oregon seeks a Registered Nurse in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Under general supervision, you will diagnose and treat human responses to health problems, assess and plan nursing care, and coordinate with the health care team.

You will perform assessments, develop care plans, implement and document care, and evaluate patient responses while participating in unit quality activities.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Oregon RN license required.
• Nine months RN experience minimum.
• NICU experience: 18 months in last 5 years.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) at hire.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) at hire.
• Computer keyboarding skills.
• Spanish bilingual preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive multi-system assessments and discharge planning.
• Develop an individualized nursing care plan and coordinate care with team.
• Initiate and document nursing care and medications per physician plan.
• Evaluate patient responses and participate in unit quality activities.
