Job summary

Pediatrix Medical Group seeks a Newborn Hearing Screen Technician to perform on-site hearing screenings in hospital settings. You will screen newborns, educate families, and ensure timely documentation and follow-up. Training includes annual certification accredited by the American Academy of Audiology.

The position offers on-the-job learning, weekend/holiday flexibility, and comprehensive benefits. The pay ranges hourly depending on experience, with a strong focus on early detection and family

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CPR certification required or to be obtained upon offer.
• Flexibility to work weekends and national holidays.

Responsibilities

• Comply with policies and procedures including PPE, vaccinations and compliance modules.
• Evaluate patient readiness before screening and ensure reliable results.
• Collect demographics, perform screens, and document data for each baby.
• Provide care and education to families about screening relevance and early intervention.
• Upload results and billing data by end of shift and reconcile stats.
• Screen efficiently without compromising quality or patient education.
• Notify supervisor of missed or referred babies and schedule outpatient followups.
