Job summary

Pediatrix Medical Group is hiring a Newborn Hearing Screen Technician to perform hospital-based newborn hearing screens and educate families about early intervention. On-the-job training with AA-accredited certification will be provided, ensuring staff are skilled in early detection of hearing issues.

The role requires flexibility for weekend and holiday shifts, and involves daily liaison with hospital staff and families to deliver timely and accurate screening results.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current CPR Certification or must obtain upon offer.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage data accurately.

Responsibilities

• Perform newborn hearing screens when on shift.
• Educate parents about hearing screens and early intervention.
• Ensure proper documentation and data entry for each screen.
• Coordinate with hospital staff and Site Supervisor as needed.
• Schedule outpatient appointments for refer babies when appropriate.
