Job summary

Pediatrix is seeking a Newborn Hearing Screen Technician to perform on-site hearing screenings in hospital settings. You will work with newborns, ensuring screen readiness, collecting data, and providing parent education.

On-the-job training and annual American Academy of Audiology-certified certification are provided to ensure high standards of early detection and intervention. The role emphasizes efficient patient flow, accurate documentation, and education, with responsibilities including

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required.

• Flexibility to work weekends and holidays.
• Physical ability to lift up to 25 pounds and occasionally 50 pounds; stand/walk 95% of shift.
• Computer proficiency and data entry capability.

Responsibilities

• Perform newborn hearing screens and educate parents on importance of early intervention.
• Ensure screen readiness and reliable results.
• Collect patient demographics and document per protocol.
• Provide care and education to the baby and family.
• Upload results, manage billing/state reporting by end of shift; reconcile stats.
• Schedule outpatient appointments for refer babies when needed.
