Job summary

Pediatrix Medical Group is seeking a Newborn Hearing Screen Technician to perform hospital-based hearing screens for newborns and educate families on the importance of early intervention. This on-site role involves data collection, documentation, and coordination of follow-up care where needed.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or GED, CPR certification, and flexibility to work weekends/holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current CPR certification or ability to obtain on offer.
• Flexibility to work weekends and national holidays.

Responsibilities

• Screen newborns for hearing and provide education to parents about screening and early intervention.
• Verify patient readiness and collect demographics/data for each baby; perform screens and document results.
• Screen efficiently while maintaining quality and patient education/satisfaction.
• Notify Site Supervisor of missed or refer babies and schedule outpatient appointments when applicable.
