Job summary

Pediatrix Medical Group is seeking a Newborn Hearing Screen Technician to perform hospital-based hearing screens for newborns and to educate parents about the importance of early intervention.

On-the-job training and annual American Academy of Audiology certification are provided, with emphasis on privacy, patient care, and accurate documentation. This role is on-site at hospital locations and requires weekend shifts and compliance with safety protocols.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current CPR certification preferred or must obtain upon offer.
• Flexibility to work on weekends and national holidays is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform newborn hearing screens and provide education to parents.
• Evaluate patient readiness before screening to ensure reliable results.
• Collect data and complete documentation for each screening during shift.
• Notify supervisor of missed or referred cases and schedule outpatient follow-ups as needed.
