Job summary

Dinges Fire Company seeks a self-motivated sales professional to plan and carry out activities on assigned accounts or territory, build relationships with Fire and EMT decision-makers, and ensure customer satisfaction and service quality.

The role is 1099 independent contractor, compensation based entirely on commissions (approximately 40% of gross profit per sale). Many reps are current firefighters; you can work full-time or as a strong second income, with territory ownership as a key benefit.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of fire service equipment and tools.
• Knowledge of basic computer applications.
• Knowledge of customer service principles.
• Knowledge of basic business principles.

Responsibilities

• Prepare sales action plans and strategies.
• Schedule sales activity.
• Make sales calls to new and existing customers.
• Develop and present company products and services to clients.
• Negotiate sales terms and close deals.
• Develop sales proposals.
• Respond to inquiries by phone, email or in person.
• Ensure customer service satisfaction and maintain client relationships.
• Follow up on sales activity and results.
• Monitor and report on sales activities to management.
• Participate in sales events and training.
