Job summary
New Season is seeking a Telecounselor I to provide individual counseling via a HIPAA-compliant video platform for patients at clinics across the United States. Telecounselors may work remotely and must follow assigned schedules with a multidisciplinary team including Medical Director and Nurses.
Responsibilities include counseling, education on treatment, documentation in EHR, and ensuring policy compliance.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in a Human Services related field.
- Preferred active independent counseling license in the supported state.
- Experience in Substance Abuse or Telecounseling is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide individual counseling via synchronous video with HIPAA compliance.
- Educate patients on treatment and recovery steps.
- Maintain at least 50% direct patient contact hours monthly.
- Complete screening, DAP notes, treatment plans and reassessments timely.
- Assist with intake, admission, discharge and transfer paperwork.
- Document patient progress in EHR and required systems.
- Ensure policy compliance and timely corrections of files.
- Coordinate with clinic leadership and respond to emails within 1 business day.
