Job summary

New Season Treatment Centers seeks a Telecounselor Associate to provide individual counseling through a HIPAA-compliant video platform to patients across the United States. You will work with a multidisciplinary team including Medical Director and Counselors to address clinical needs and maintain comprehensive documentation.

Qualifications

• Master-level knowledge
• Experience in Substance Abuse and/or Telecounseling Services is preferred.
• Must possess excellent interpersonal, communication and technological skills; able to multitask, work independently, prioritize and be dependable.

Responsibilities

• Performs individual counseling with assigned patients via synchronous video communication.
• Educates patients in all aspects of treatment, health issues and steps to recovery.
• Maintains a minimum of 50% direct patient contact hours per month.
• Completes patient telecounseling screening, psychosocials, DAP notes and treatment plans within required time frames.
• Processes intake, admission, discharge and transfer paperwork as needed.
• Documents patient progress in the EHR and ensures compliance with required forms and policies.
• Coordinates with clinic staff and ensures timely communication and scheduling.
