Job summary

New Season is seeking a Telecounselor I to provide individual counseling via a HIPAA‑compliant video platform for patients across our clinics in the United States. The role may offer remote work options and requires adherence to clinic schedules and patient needs.

You will work within a multidisciplinary team to identify clinical needs, document progress in the electronic health record, and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, including HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a Human Services field.
• Preferred active independent counseling license (LMHC, LCSW, LMFT) or eligible intern under supervision.
• Knowledge of substance abuse and telecounseling preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides individual counseling via synchronous video to patients across clinics.
• Educates patients on treatment and recovery steps.
• Maintains 50% direct patient contact hours monthly.
• Completes telecounseling screenings, notes, treatment plans, and reassessments on time.
• Coordinates intake, admission, discharge, and transfer paperwork.
• Documents progress in the electronic health record and ensures data accuracy.
• Ensures policy compliance and licensure/certification requirements.
• Communicates with clinic leadership and responds to emails within 1 business day.
• Participates in supervision and staff meetings.
