Job summary

SimVentions, Inc. seeks a Database Architect to join our team in Virginia Beach, requiring daily on-site presence and an active Secret clearance. The role focuses on building an authoritative data ecosystem for Navy Reserve data pipelines, governance, and analytics.

Ideal candidates will have 2+ years in Python, PySpark, SQL, and related tools, plus experience with VAULTIS-aligned data practices and Alchemy pipeline code. Travel is minimal; US citizenship required for clearance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience with Python, PySpark, GitLab, Databricks and/or Jupyter Notebook, Secure File Gateway (SFG), and Magic
• Minimum 2 years of experience with JavaScript and SQL
• Minimum 2 years of experience with Navy Reserve data systems and Advana/Jupyter
• At least 6 months of experience in managing or modifying Alchemy pipeline code

Responsibilities

• Analyze, compile, and implement industry standards and methodologies for expanding and maintaining an authoritative data ecosystem for the Navy Reserves
• Data management of enterprise data pipelines, architectures, observability, and governance
• Automate data feeds from multiple systems into a consolidated data environment
• Perform capability gap analysis and identify vulnerabilities and recommend solutions
• Compile and implement integration strategies to expand and optimize an interoperable data ecosystem across existing legacy systems
