Job summary

SimVentions, a 100% employee-owned company in Virginia Beach, seeks a Database Architect to join our on-site team. You will design and optimize data ecosystems, pipelines, and governance to support Navy Reserve data systems and analytics, with a focus on VAULTIS-aligned practices and secure data management.

Senior candidates will collaborate with CNR/CNRF stakeholders, implement industry standards, automate data feeds, and ensure interoperable, trustworthy data across legacy systems while

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience with Python, PySpark, GitLab, Databricks and/or Jupyter Notebook, Secure File Gateway (SFG), and Magic.
• 2+ years of experience with JavaScript and SQL.
• 2+ years of experience with Navy Reserve data systems and Advana/Jupyter.
• At least 6 months of experience in managing or modifying Alchemy pipeline code.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, compile, and implement industry standards for expanding and maintaining an authoritative data ecosystem for the Navy Reserves.
• Data management of enterprise data pipelines, architectures, observability, and governance.
• Automate data feeds from multiple systems into a consolidated data environment.
• Perform capability gap analysis and identify vulnerabilities and recommend solutions.
• Compile and implement integration strategies to expand and optimize an interoperable data ecosystem across existing legacy systems.
