Job summary

SimVentions, Inc. is seeking a Database Architect to join our Virginia Beach team and work on data ecosystems for Navy Reserve operations. This on-site role requires an active Secret clearance and US citizenship eligibility.

You will analyze, design, and implement data architectures, pipelines, governance, and observability across enterprise systems, ensuring secure, accessible, and interoperable data assets. A BS in CS or related field is required, with extensive Python/SQL experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience with Python, PySpark, GitLab, Databricks and/or Jupyter Notebook, SFG and Magic.
• Minimum 2 years of experience with JavaScript and SQL.
• Minimum 2 years of experience with Navy Reserve data systems and Advana/Jupyter.
• At least 6 months of experience in managing or modifying Alchemy pipeline code.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, compile, and implement industry standards for an authoritative Navy Reserve data ecosystem.
• Data management of enterprise data pipelines, architectures, observability, and governance.
• Automate data feeds from multiple systems into a consolidated data environment.
• Perform capability gap analysis and identify vulnerabilities and propose solutions.
• Compile and implement integration strategies to expand interoperable data ecosystems.
