Job summary

SimVentions seeks a Database Architect to join our team on-site at our Virginia Beach office. The role supports Navy Reserve data initiatives, building an authoritative data ecosystem and modernized pipelines with observability and governance.

Ideal candidates bring 2+ years in Python, Spark, and SQL, plus experience with VAULTIS concepts and Advana/Jupyter. This position requires daily on-site presence and security clearance eligibility.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience with Python, PySpark, GitLab, Databricks and/or Jupyter Notebook, Secure File Gateway (SFG), and Magic.
• Minimum 2 years of experience with software coding in JavaScript and SQL.
• Minimum 2 years of experience with Navy Reserve data systems and Advana/Jupyter.
• At least 6 months of experience in managing or modifying Alchemy pipeline code.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, compile, and implement industry standards and methodologies for expanding and maintaining an authoritative data ecosystem for the Navy Reserves.
• Data management of enterprise data pipelines, architectures, observability, and governance.
• Automate data feeds from multiple systems into a consolidated data environment.
• Perform capability gap analysis and identify vulnerabilities and recommend solutions.
• Compile and implement integration strategies to expand and optimize an interoperable data ecosystem across existing legacy systems.
