Job summary

SimVentions, Inc is seeking a skilled Database Administrator to support Navy Reserve data systems, with on-site work in Virginia Beach and a requirement for an ACTIVE Secret Clearance. The role focuses on data governance, automation, and secure data pipelines within VAULTIS-aligned ecosystems.

The position emphasizes hands-on experience with Python, PySpark, SQL, and related data technologies, and demands prior work with NR data systems and Advana/Jupyter.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years in Python, PySpark, GitLab, Databricks and/or Jupyter Notebook, SFG, and Magic.
• At least 3 years in JavaScript and SQL.
• At least 3 years in Navy Reserve data systems and Advana/Jupyter.
• At least 6 months managing or modifying Alchemy pipeline code.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and implement industry standards for a data ecosystem for the Navy Reserves.
• Data management of enterprise data pipelines, architectures, observability, and governance.
• Automate data feeds from multiple systems into a consolidated environment.
• Perform capability gap analysis and identify vulnerabilities and recommend solutions.
• Compile and implement integration strategies to expand interoperable data ecosystems across legacy systems.
