Job summary

SimVentions, a 100% employee-owned company, seeks a Database Architect for on-site work in Virginia Beach. The role supports Navy Reserve data initiatives, emphasizing data management, analytics, and modernization to improve warfighter readiness.

The candidate will maintain VAULTIS data practices, integrate industry standards, and automate feeds across systems, contributing to a secure, interoperable data ecosystem for NR/CNRF missions.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years with Python, PySpark, GitLab, Databricks and/or Jupyter Notebook, SFG and Magic.
• Minimum 2 years with JavaScript and SQL.
• Minimum 2 years with Navy Reserve data systems and Advana/Jupyter.
• At least 6 months managing or modifying Alchemy pipeline code.

Responsibilities

• Support the Chief of Navy Reserve (CNR) and Commander, Navy Reserve Forces (CNRF) mission with data-driven decision making.
• Perform analysis, compilation, and implementation of industry standards for an authoritative data ecosystem.
• Oversee data management of enterprise data pipelines, architectures, observability, and governance for VAULTIS.
• Analyze and implement integration strategies to expand interoperable data ecosystems across legacy systems.
• Automate data feeds from multiple systems into a consolidated data environment.
