Job summary

SimVentions, Inc. in Virginia Beach, VA, is seeking a Database Architect to join our on-site team. This role focuses on building and maintaining an authoritative data ecosystem to support Navy Reserve data operations, analytics, and governance.

You will analyze, design, and implement data pipelines and architectures, ensuring data is visible, accessible, and secure. Active Secret clearance and 2+ years in Python, Spark, SQL, and related tools are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience with Python, PySpark, GitLab, Databricks and/or Jupyter Notebook, Secure File Gateway (SFG), and Magic.
• Minimum 2 years of experience with software coding in JavaScript and SQL.
• Minimum 2 years of experience with Navy Reserve data systems and Advana/Jupyter.
• At least 6 months of experience in managing or modifying Alchemy pipeline code.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, compile, and implement industry standards and methodologies for expanding and maintaining an authoritative data ecosystem for the Navy Reserves.
• Data management of enterprise data pipelines, architectures, observability, and governance.
• Automate data feeds from multiple systems into a consolidated data environment.
• Perform capability gap analysis and identify vulnerabilities and recommend solutions.
• Compile and implement integration strategies to expand and optimize an interoperable data ecosystem across existing legacy systems.
