Job summary

SimVentions, Inc seeks a Database Architect to join our team on-site at our Virginia Beach office. An ACTIVE Secret Clearance is required; US Citizenship is needed for clearance eligibility. Compensation ranges from $60,000 to $80,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.

The role emphasizes building and maintaining an authoritative data ecosystem, automating data feeds, and aligning with VAULTIS data principles while supporting Navy Reserve initiatives.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience with Python, PySpark, GitLab, Databricks and/or Jupyter Notebook, Secure File Gateway (SFG), and Magic.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience with software coding in JavaScript and SQL.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience with Navy Reserve data systems and Advana/Jupyter.
• At least 6 months of experience in managing or modifying Alchemy pipeline code.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, compile, and implement industry standards and methodologies for expanding and maintaining an authoritative data ecosystem for the Navy Reserves.
• Data management of enterprise data pipelines, architectures, observability, and governance.
• Automate data feeds from multiple systems into a consolidated data environment.
• Perform capability gap analysis and identify vulnerabilities and recommend solutions.
• Compile and implement integration strategies to expand and optimize an interoperable data ecosystem across existing legacy systems.
