Job summary

Serco is seeking a Project Manager in Middletown, Rhode Island to support the PORTS program, providing leadership for Navy training-systems development. You will coordinate with the Program Manager, customers, and project teams to ensure schedule, cost, and performance objectives are met.

You will review project status, prepare reports, and manage data items per DoD requirements while coordinating with Navy customers.

Qualifications

US Citizen with ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance.
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, applied science, or management.
Minimum 5 years of management experience including profit and loss.
Familiar with software development projects.
Solid experience using Microsoft Office products (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MSProject).
Travel up to 10%.

Responsibilities

Oversee and manage day-to-day operational aspects of ongoing projects and liaison between Program Manager, Customer, and project team.
Review status of projects and budgets; review project work products; manage schedules and prepare status reports.
Prepare data items in accordance with DoD requirements.
Adhere to quality objectives, technical metrics, and schedules.
Attend meetings and brief Serco management and Navy customers on project status.
Assess project issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives.
Participate in proposal activities for new projects.
