Job summary

Serco Inc. in Middletown, Rhode Island, seeks an experienced Project Manager to lead PORTS training-system projects for the US Navy.

You will act as the liaison between the Program Manager, customers, and project teams, and you will review schedules, budgets, and deliverables to ensure quality and on-time performance. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in a technical or management field, at least five years of management experience (including P&L), experience with software development

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical or management field.
• Minimum of 5 years of management experience including profit and loss.
• Familiar with software development projects.
• U.S. citizen able to obtain DoD Secret clearance.
• Travel up to 10%.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operational aspects of ongoing projects and liaison between Program Manager, Customer, and project team.
• Review status of projects and budgets; review project work products; manage schedules and prepare status reports.
• Prepare data items in accordance with DoD requirements.
• Adhere to quality objectives, technical metrics, and schedules.
• Attend meetings and brief Serco management and Navy customers on project status.
• Assess project issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives.
• Participate in proposal activities for new projects.
