Job summary

Serco Inc. in Middletown, Rhode Island, is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead and coordinate PORTS program efforts for Navy customers.

You will oversee daily project execution, manage schedules and budgets, prepare DoD-compliant data items, and brief leadership on status. The role requires DoD security clearance, a related bachelor’s degree, and prior management of software development projects.

Qualifications

• US Citizenship with ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, applied science, or management.
• Minimum 5 years of management experience including profit and loss.
• Familiarity with software development projects.
• Solid experience using Microsoft Office products.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operational aspects of ongoing projects and liaison between Program Manager, Customer, and project team.
• Review project status, budgets, schedules, and prepare status reports.
• Prepare data items in accordance with DoD requirements.
• Adhere to quality objectives, technical metrics, and schedules.
• Attend meetings and brief Serco management and Navy customers on project status.
• Assess project issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity and quality goals.
• Participate in proposal activities for new projects.
