Job summary

Serco Inc. in Middletown, Rhode Island leads a Project Management role supporting the PORTS program for US Navy training systems. You will coordinate with the Program Manager, customers, and the project team to ensure schedules, budgets, and deliverables meet DoD requirements.

The role requires a US citizen with an active DoD Secret clearance, a technical or management degree, and at least 5 years of PM experience, including P&L. Travel up to 10% is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, applied science, or management.
• Minimum 5 years of management experience including profit and loss.
• Familiar with software development projects.
• Experience with Navy simulation and training systems.
• Current DoD Secret clearance.
• Ability to travel up to 10%.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the day-to-day operational aspects of ongoing projects and serve as liaison between Program Manager, Customer, and project team
• Review status of projects and budgets; review project work products; manage schedules and prepare status reports.
• Prepare data items in accordance with DoD requirements.
• Adhere to quality objectives, technical metrics, and schedules
• Attend meetings and brief Serco management and Navy customers on project status
• Assess project issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives
• Participate in proposal activities for new projects
