Serco Inc. is seeking an HM&E Systems Engineer to provide technical support to the U.S. Navy Surface Ship Fleet. This role focuses on lifecycle management, maintenance planning, and resolution of priority issues with a team of Navy and Serco SMEs.

The position emphasizes modernization efforts, safety, and readiness across multiple ship classes, with coordination across naval commands and contractor stakeholders.

Formación

• Active DoW Secret security clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree with naval shipboard engineering experience or High School Diploma with 4 years naval shipboard experience.
• Knowledge of U.S. Navy ship configuration, management principles, processes, and activities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to travel up to 10% as needed.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare machinery and propulsion systems directives and review installation/repair of gas turbine propulsion and related systems.
• Review drawings, specifications and perform complex calculations to meet ship configuration requirements.
• Provide engineering, technical, and analytical support for HM&E systems across U.S. Navy surface ships.
• Analyze equipment failures, casualty reports, and maintenance actions to develop technical recommendations.
• Perform lifecycle engineering assessments including sustainment and modernization considerations.
• Draft and support development of technical documentation and advisory messages.
