Job summary

Serco Inc. is seeking an HM&E Systems Engineer to support U.S. Navy Surface Ships. You will provide technical, analytical, and advisory services across lifecycle management, maintenance planning, and modernization initiatives. The role requires DoW Secret clearance and collaboration with Navy Tech Community and Serco SMEs.

You will coordinate with TYCOMs, RMCs, and NAVSEA activities, delivering actionable recommendations and maintaining eARRTS and related documentation to ensure fleet readiness.

Qualifications

• Active DoW Secret clearance required.
• Bachelor’s degree with naval shipboard engineering experience or equivalent high school pathway.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. Navy ship configuration and processes.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Navy technical systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for U.S. Navy Surface Ship HM&E systems and fleet readiness.
• Review drawings, specs, and calculations for gas turbine propulsion and related systems.
• Develop technical findings and corrective actions for shipboard issues.
• Coordinate with Navy and contractor stakeholders across multiple centers and commands.
• Prepare technical docs, advisory messages, and readiness dashboards.
