Job summary

Serco Inc. seeks an HM&E Systems Engineer to support U.S. Navy Surface Ship Fleet, delivering engineering recommendations, lifecycle oversight, and modernization planning.

You will work with Naval Technical Community and Serco SMEs to ensure readiness and sailor safety across multiple ship classes. The role requires a DoW Secret clearance, a relevant naval engineering background or equivalent experience, and strong proficiency with Navy documentation systems and Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Active DoW Secret security clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree with minimum 2 years’ relevant Naval shipboard engineering work experience or High School Diploma with 4 years’ applicable Naval shipboard work experience.
• Knowledge of U.S. Navy ship configuration, management principles, processes, and activities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Proficient in eARRTS and HARS.
• Ability to travel up to 10% as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to U.S. Navy Surface Ship Fleet and contribute to fleet readiness and sailor safety.
• Analyze HM&E system issues and coordinate corrective actions across Navy and contractor stakeholders.
• Develop engineering analyses, installation drawings, and technical documentation.
• Prepare advisory communications and maintain records in eARRTS repositories.
