Job summary

Serco Inc. is seeking an HM&E Systems Engineer to provide technical support to the U.S. Navy Surface Ship Fleet.

The role focuses on readiness, safety, and lifecycle management across multiple ship classes. You will collaborate with Navy technical communities and Serco SMEs to deliver timely advice and actionable engineering actions. The position requires an active DoW Secret clearance, a bachelor’s degree with naval shipboard experience (or equivalent), and the ability to travel up to 10%.

Qualifications

• Active DoW Secret security clearance is required.
• Bachelor’s degree with 2 years’ naval shipboard engineering experience or high school diploma with 4 years’ naval shipboard experience.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. Navy ship configuration and maintenance processes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and related technical tools.
• Ability to travel up to 10% as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to U.S. Navy Surface Ship Fleet and advise on readiness and safety.
• Oversee lifecycle management, maintenance planning, and CASREP resolutions.
• Coordinate with Navy and contractor stakeholders across multiple organizations.
• Develop technical briefings, dashboards, and readiness reports using Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.
• Prepare installation drawings and engineering analyses to support modernization.
