Job summary

Serco Inc. seeks a Project Manager in Yokosuka, Japan to lead engineering and technical services for overhaul and repair of naval systems on U.S. Navy surface ships. A DoD Secret clearance is required and US citizenship is necessary.

Responsibilities include leading HM&E and aviation equipment teams, coordinating maintenance planning, inspections, and repairs, and liaising with ship's force and reactor departments. Travel up to 25% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree with 7+ years in related engineering management.
• Associates Degree with 14+ years in related engineering management.
• 5 years supervisory experience in maintenance, or design related to surface ships.
• 3 years closely involved with aircraft carrier/surface ship maintenance, design, operation, and other problems of propulsion and related systems.
• 2 years direct experience with auxiliary, electrical, and damage control systems on naval ships.
• Two years supervisory experience.
• Current DoD security clearance or ability to obtain Secret clearance.
• US citizenship.
• Up to 25% travel for CONUS/OCONUS may be required.

Responsibilities

• Lead teams providing technical guidance on HM&E and aviation equipment interfaces with combat support systems and related hull systems.
• Oversee inspections, examinations, analysis, repairs, and provide maintenance planning recommendations for naval propulsion and auxiliary machinery.
• Liaison with ship's reactor department prior to inspections, testing, and production work.
• Manage teams performing fault identification and repairs on propulsion, electrical, and hull systems.
• Provide technical support and advice to Ship's Force for operation, overhaul, and repair.
• Oversee CCAMM-based maintenance planning and TYCOM CIP training and reporting.
• Develop updated training packages for TYCOM and onboard personnel.
• Develop Formal Work Packages (FWP) and Controlled Work Packages (CWP).
• Manage personnel to support contract efforts and maintain stakeholder relationships.
