Job summary

Serco invites a Project Manager to join the Naval Acquisition and Sustainment Operation (NASO) to oversee engineering and technical services for overhaul and repair of U.S. Navy surface ships.

Based in Mayport, FL, the role requires maintaining a DoD Secret level clearance and leading Ship's Force teams on HM&E and propulsion systems. Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of seven years’ experience in related engineering management field, or Associates Degree with fourteen (14) years’ experience in related engineering management field.
• An active DoD security clearance is required.
• Five years’ supervisory experience in the area of technical assistance, maintenance, or design related to surface ships.
• Two years direct experience with auxiliary, electrical and damage control systems for U.S. Naval Ships.

Responsibilities

• Lead teams providing technical guidance to Ship's Force relating to work on HM&E and aviation equipment and systems which interface with combat support systems and hull support items.
• Oversee inspections, examinations, analysis, repairs, and recommendations in maintenance planning and/or repair for naval propulsion and auxiliary machinery.
• Develop Formal Work Packages (FWPs) and Controlled Work Packages (CWPs) in accordance with Joint Fleet Maintenance Manual.
• Manage personnel to support short-term and long-term contract efforts.
• Cultivate positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
