Job summary

Serco is seeking Shipyard Laborers to support a high-profile project for the US Navy. The role is based in the Norfolk and Newport News, VA area, performing tasks on U.S. Naval Ships and installations.

Qualifications

• The ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
• Ability to obtain access to shipyards (NAVSTA & DBIDS) and pass a background check.
• Willing to work second shift and more than 40 hours per week.
• Willing to travel up to 10% to different shipyards in Norfolk/Chesapeake.

Responsibilities

• Perform general manual labor including loading, unloading, lifting and moving supplies and materials.
• Serve as fire watch and welder's helper and install electric cable when needed.
• Work under immediate supervision with limited independent judgment.
