Serco is seeking Shipyard Laborers to support a high-profile project for the US Navy in the Norfolk and Newport News, VA area. You will be part of a team delivering high technology on U.S. Naval ships and installations, working with customers and Serco personnel.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, ability to obtain a Secret clearance, ability to access shipyards, willingness to work second shift, and up to 10% travel to different shipyards in Norfolk/Chesapeake.

Qualifications

• The ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
• The ability to obtain access to shipyards (NAVSTA & DBIDS), undergo background investigation and pass a drug screening.
• The ability to work second shift and to work more than 40 hours per week.
• The ability to travel up to 10% to different shipyards in Norfolk and/or Chesapeake.

Responsabilités

• Perform general manual labor including loading, unloading, lifting and moving supplies and materials.
• Perform duties as a fire watch and welder's helper as well as install electric cable when needed.
• Work under immediate supervision.
• Primary job functions do not typically require exercising independent judgment.
