Job summary

Serco is seeking Shipyard Laborers to join a high-profile project supporting the US Navy. You will work as part of a dynamic team delivering high-technology installations aboard U.S.

Naval ships and military facilities, performing loading/unloading, lifting, and wiring tasks as needed. The role requires a HS diploma or GED, the ability to obtain a Secret clearance and shipyard access, and willingness to work second shift and overtime.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
• Ability to obtain shipyard access (NAVSTA & DBIDS), background check, and drug screening.
• Willingness to work second shift and overtime (>40 hours).
• Travel up to 10% to different shipyards in Norfolk/Chesapeake.

Responsibilities

• Perform general manual labor including loading, unloading, lifting and moving supplies and materials.
• Serve as fire watch and welder's helper; install electric cable when needed.
• Work under immediate supervision; follow established procedures.
