Job summary

Serco Inc. is seeking Shipyard Laborers to support a high-profile Navy project in the Norfolk/Newport News, VA area. You will perform general manual labor, assist as a fire watch and welder's helper, and help install electrical cable under supervision.

This role requires a High School diploma or GED, ability to obtain a Secret clearance, and willingness to travel up to 10% to different shipyards. Second shift availability and over 40 hours may be required.

Qualifications

• A High School Diploma or GED.
• The ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
• The ability to travel up to 10% to different shipyards.

Responsibilities

• Perform general manual labor including loading, unloading, lifting and moving supplies and materials.
• Perform duties as a fire watch and welder`s helper as well as install electric cable when needed.
• Work under immediate supervision.
• Primary job functions do not typically require exercising independent judgment.
