Job summary

Serco is seeking a Project Manager for the Naval Acquisition and Sustainment Operation to oversee engineering and technical services for U.S. Navy Aircraft Carriers. Based in Brementon, WA, the role requires DoD Secret clearance and senior supervisory experience in naval systems.

The position involves leading HM&E and aviation equipment work, coordinating inspections, and guiding Ship's Force through maintenance planning, repair, and modernization efforts across propulsion and auxiliary systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of seven years’ experience in related engineering management field, or Associates Degree with fourteen (14) years’ experience in related engineering management field.
• An active DoD security clearance is required.
• Five years’ supervisory experience in the area of technical assistance, maintenance, or design related to Navy Aircraft Carriers/surface ships (as applicable) and
• Three years should be closely involved with practical aircraft carrier/surface ship (as applicable) maintenance, design, operation, and other problems of main propulsion, auxiliary,electrical, and damage control equipment associated with shipboard level maintenance.
• Two years direct experience with auxiliary, electrical, and damage control systems and included steam propulsion plants.
• Two years direct experience with auxiliary, electrical and damage control systems for U.S. Naval Ships.
• One year direct experience in Naval Nuclear Secondary Plant Systems and/or Non-Nuclear Interface Systems and verifiable knowledge of NNPI.
• Two years of supervisory experience.
• Up to 25% of travel for CONUS/OCONUS may be required.
• An ideal candidate will have experience as a U.S. Navy Engineering Duty Officer working collaboratively with major US shipyards with direct experience in nuclear and non-nuclear operation, maintenance, repair, design, test, and modernization of HM&E, Electronic, Weapons Handling, and marine diesel engine equipment on aircraft carriers and submarines.

Responsibilities

• Lead teams providing technical guidance to Ship's Force relating to HM&E and aviation equipment and systems interfacing with combat support systems and related hull items.
• Lead the performance of inspections, examinations, analysis, repairs and maintenance planning or repair for naval propulsion and auxiliary machinery.
• Liaison with ship’s reactor department prior to inspections, testing, and production work.
• Manage teams performing fault identification and support Ship's Force with repairs on propulsion, auxiliary, electrical, and damage control systems.
• Provide technical support and advice to Ship's Force on operation, overhaul, and repair of specific items as directed by technical authority.
• Oversee CCAMM and TYCOM CIP programs with training and reporting to Ship's Force.
• Develop updated training packages and provide formal on-board operator and maintenance training.
• Develop FWPs and CWPs per Joint Fleet Maintenance Manual.
• Manage personnel to support contract efforts and cultivate stakeholder relationships.
