Job summary

Progress Residential is seeking a Workforce Development Trainer to deliver the Technical Skills Academy and other programs for front-line employees. This role requires up to 75% travel; when not traveling, it is office-based with extended desk work.

Responsibilities include developing curricula, partnering with Service Managers, evaluating programs, and testing learning technologies to improve outcomes and engagement across multiple markets.

Qualifications

• 6+ years’ experience in general trades, HVAC, construction and maintenance.
• Knowledge of adult learning theories and learning and development best practices.
• Experience implementing instructional materials in a variety of media preferred.
• Must be flexible to deliver training in a variety of formats: classroom, virtual, on-the-job, synchronous, asynchronous, etc.
• The ability to describe technical concepts in an understandable way.
• Technical aptitude and experience leveraging learning technologies and tools that support learning activities.
• Experience demonstrating effectiveness of learning solutions through measurement, analysis, and reporting.
• Effective communication and presentation skills with proficiency in MS Office, Canva, and other technologies.
• Energy, enthusiasm, and initiative to create innovative programs and drive national outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate skill-based curriculums to support growth of front-line trade employees.
• Provide subject matter expertise in developing training content aligned with best practices.
• Develop relationships with Service Managers and market leaders to identify learning needs.
• Evaluate current training programs and suggest improvements for performance and learning.
• Test learning technologies and solutions to boost engagement and retention.
• Gather learning data and analyze training effectiveness and impact.
