Job summary

Progress Residential is seeking a Workforce Development Trainer to deliver Technical Skills Academy and other development programs for front-line employees. The role requires frequent travel (50-75%) and office-based work when not traveling, with extensive time at a desk for training design and delivery.

You will develop and deliver curricula, evaluate programs, and partner with managers to tailor learning to business needs, supporting national outcomes.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in general trades, HVAC, construction and maintenance.
• Knowledge of adult learning theories and learning and development best practices.
• Experience implementing instructional materials in a variety of media preferred.
• Must be flexible to deliver training in a variety of formats: classroom, virtual, on-the-job, synchronous, asynchronous, etc.
• Ability to describe technical concepts clearly, making them easily understandable.
• Proven experience with learning technologies and tools that support learning activities.
• Experience measuring learning effectiveness through data and reporting.
• Strong communication and presentation skills with MS Office, Canva, and related tools.
• Energetic, enthusiastic, and proactive in creating innovative programs for national impact.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate skill-based curriculums to support front-line workers’ growth.
• Provide SME input in developing training content aligned with best practices.
• Build relationships with Service Managers and market leaders to identify learning needs.
• Evaluate training programs and recommend improvements for performance and engagement.
• Test learning technologies to improve engagement and outcomes.
• Collect and analyze learning data to demonstrate training impact.
