Job summary

Progress Residential is seeking a Workforce Development Trainer to deliver the Technical Skills Academy and other development programs for our front-line employees. This role requires frequent travel (50–75%) and is primarily office-based when not traveling, with extended seated work.

You will facilitate skill-based curricula, develop training content, and collaborate with Service Managers to tailor programs that drive performance across markets.

Qualifications

• 6+ years’ experience in general trades, HVAC, construction and maintenance.
• Knowledge of adult learning theories and learning and development best practices.
• Experience implementing instructional materials in a variety of media preferred.
• Must be flexible to deliver training in a variety of formats: classroom, virtual, on-the-job, synchronous, asynchronous, etc.
• The ability to describe technical concepts in a way that makes them easily understandable, digestible, and relatable.
• Technical aptitude and demonstrated experience leveraging learning technologies and tools that integrate with and support learning activities.
• Experience demonstrating the effectiveness of learning solutions through measurement, analysis, and reporting required.
• Effective communication and presentation skills with proficiency in MS Office, Canva, and other technologies.
• Energy, enthusiasm, and initiative to create innovative programs and drive national outcomes, balancing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate skill-based curriculums to support the growth and development of front-line trade employees.
• Provide subject matter expertise in the development of training content aligned with training best practices.
• Develop strong relationships with Service Managers and market leaders to understand specific business learning needs.
• Evaluate current training programs and skills throughout the front-line population and suggest modifications that enhance the learners' performance as well as the learning experience and skills advancement.
• Test various learning technologies and solutions to improve learning engagement, development of talent, retention, and behavior change.
• Gather learning data and analyze and communicate training effectiveness and impact.
