Job summary

Technology Recruiting Solutions is seeking a National Sales Representative based in Houston, TX, to develop and grow a multi-state territory in the steel and industrial distribution market. This role requires regular travel and a focus on building long-term customer partnerships with purchasing managers and other decision-makers.

You will lead prospecting, manage accounts, negotiate pricing, and collaborate with inside sales and operations to ensure accurate order execution while maintaining CRM

Qualifications

• 3+ years of B2B sales experience preferred.
• Experience in flat rolled steel industry.
• Strong negotiation and commercial judgment.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Self-motivated with prospecting and territory development ability.
• Willingness to travel across territory.

Responsibilities

• Build and grow a book of business through warm leads, cold outreach, referrals, and in-person visits.
• Develop and maintain relationships with purchasing managers, executives, and key decision-makers.
• Gain deep understanding of customer operations, product applications, and supply chain needs.
• Prospect and open new accounts within assigned territory.
• Negotiate pricing and contracts aligned with market conditions and margin objectives.
• Monitor market trends, competitive activity, and industry pricing.
• Coordinate with internal departments to ensure accurate order execution.
• Maintain CRM records and manage pipeline reporting.
