Job summary

AWS is seeking a Solutions Architect for US Government customers in the DC Metro area, focusing on data solutions and complex cloud architectures. This role requires TS/SCI with polygraph and a deep expertise in AWS data services to enable large-scale use cases for National Security customers.

You will collaborate with field teams, develop reference architectures, and drive adoption of AWS data services while guiding engagements and strategy within the Intelligence Community.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience.
• 4+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience.
• 5+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries experience.
• Bachelor's degree, or CASP+, CCSP, Cloud+, or CSSLP certification.
• Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph.

Responsibilities

• Be a subject matter expert on AWS data services including Glue, Athena, Redshift, and OpenSearch for our Account teams and customers.
• Have experience in architecture, design, and engineering of data platforms and DataOps solutions
• Represent the voice of the customer; bring customer feedback to product teams to influence feature development and future product roadmap.
• Provide advanced technical knowledge to unblock our customers’ largest and most critical business challenges.
• You will have the technical depth and business experience to deploy data strategies
• Act as a thought leader sharing best practices through forums such as AWS blogs, whitepapers, reference architectures and public-speaking events such as AWS Summit, AWS re: Invent, etc.
• Partner with Sales Specialist teams to define the technical components of best in class GTM concepts, solutions, and initiatives.
• Develop and support an AWS internal community of technical subject matter experts worldwide.
• Create field enablement materials for the broader SA population, to help them understand how to integrate Amazon Web Services solutions into customer architectures.
