Job summary

Amazon Web Services in Arlington, VA seeks a Solutions Architect for US Government customers in the Northern Virginia/DC area. You will be the trusted technical advisor to Intelligence Community clients, shaping cloud architectures and enablement strategies that meet mission-critical needs.

This high-visibility role requires collaboration with AWS Sales and Platform Engineering, driving revenue while delivering scalable, secure cloud solutions for cleared environments.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures.
• 5+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics).
• Bachelor's degree, or CASP+ or CCSP or Cloud+ or CSSLP.

Responsibilities

• Formulate and execute a sales strategy to exceed revenue objectives through the adoption of AWS.
• Build and migrate applications, software and services on the AWS platform.
• Educate customers on the value proposition of AWS and participate in deep architectural discussions for cloud deployment.
• Conduct training sessions to transfer knowledge to customers considering or using AWS.
• Capture and share best-practice knowledge among the AWS SA community.
• Contribute to AWS customer-facing publications like whitepapers.
• Build deep relationships with senior technical individuals within customers to enable cloud advocacy.
• Serve as a technical liaison between customers, service engineering, and support.
