Job summary

Amazon Web Services, Inc. is seeking a Senior Solutions Architect to support US Government customers in the Northern Virginia/DC area. You will craft scalable, secure cloud architectures and lead deep architectural discussions to translate business needs into successful cloud deployments.

The role emphasizes customer education, collaboration with sales, and pre‑sales influence to drive growth across Intelligence Community clients. A TS/SCI with polygraph clearance is required.

Qualifications

8+ years in technology domains (software, cloud, systems).
Experience in applications, infrastructure, or security architecture.
Ability to convey complex concepts to diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

Formulate and execute a sales strategy to exceed revenue objectives using AWS.
Build and migrate applications and services on the AWS platform with customers.
Educate customers on AWS value and participate in deep architectural discussions.
Conduct training sessions to transfer knowledge to customers.
Share best‑practice knowledge within the AWS solutions architect community.
Contribute to customer-facing publications such as whitepapers.
Develop deep relationships with senior technical stakeholders to enable cloud advocacy.
Serve as a liaison between customers, service engineering, and support.
