Job summary

Amazon Web Services is seeking a Sr. Specialist Solutions Architect for Data & AI to support US DoW and Federal Civilian Government customers in the DC Metro area.

You will design data architectures, guide data platform implementations, and help customers move workloads to AWS while ensuring security and compliance. You’ll collaborate with account teams, develop reference architectures, write white papers, and speak at events.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting experience.
• 8+ years in technology domains (cloud, security, data, networking).
• 3+ years design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures.
• Cloud certifications (e.g., Solutions Architect, Cloud Security) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Be SME on AWS data services including Glue, Athena, Redshift, and OpenSearch.
• Design and engineer data platforms and DataOps solutions.
• Represent the voice of the customer to influence feature development and roadmap.
• Provide advanced technical knowledge to unblock critical business challenges.
• Deploy data strategies with depth in architecture and security.
• Share best practices via blogs, reference architectures, and public talks.
• Collaborate with Sales to define technical GTM components and initiatives.
• Create field enablement materials for AWS data solutions.
