Job summary

SBS is seeking a Senior AWS Cloud Architect to lead the design and delivery of mission-critical cloud solutions for federal customers. The role requires guiding modernization, establishing architectural standards, and delivering secure, scalable systems in AWS. An active TS/SCI clearance is preferred, with U.S.

citizenship required for certain efforts. The candidate will work alongside AWS Professional Services, government stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to shape technical strategy,

Qualifications

• Lead architect on large-scale cloud transformations.
• Deep expertise in highly available, fault-tolerant AWS architectures.
• Proficiency with Lambda, ECS/EKS, API Gateway, S3, DynamoDB, IAM.
• Solid understanding of Zero Trust and secure software in regulated environments.
• Experience IaC using CDK, Terraform, or CloudFormation.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end architecture and delivery of enterprise AWS solutions.
• Define reference architectures and roadmaps aligned with customer missions.
• Drive modernization using containers, serverless, and managed AWS services.
• Establish governance for security, reliability, observability, and cost optimization.
• Mentor engineers and support proposals and customer briefings.
