Job summary

Cogent Communications in Philadelphia seeks an in-office Sales Representative to drive growth in the national mid-market segment. You will identify and qualify new business opportunities, engage with key decision makers, and support field activities and events to generate revenue.

You will build relationships, leverage a consultative selling approach to position our fiber, data, and connectivity services, and work toward monthly revenue goals in a fast-paced, team-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Previous sales experience with a track record of success.
• Ability to identify, qualify and generate new business through prospecting and research.
• Strong oral and written communication is required.
• Ability to work in a fast paced, team environment with revenue deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Identify new business opportunities within a prescribed Regional Sales Territory via sourcing and hunting.
• Qualify and generate new business opportunities by direct outreach to Key Decision Makers.
• Complement prospecting with field activities such as building walks and events.
• Leverage consultative selling to identify connectivity solutions.
• Help customers by positioning Cogent services for new business.
• Achieve monthly revenue goals in large commercial and campus locations.
