Job summary

Daikin Applied Americas is seeking a National Accounts Director to lead the Data Centers vertical within the National Accounts team. This remote role requires up to 50% travel to support strategic initiatives and major accounts.

You will steer market analysis, develop long-range plans, and drive executive-level relationships with data center operators and hyperscalers. Lead a team, shape customer programs, and collaborate with manufacturing and sales leadership to capture growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years in sales or business development; including 6+ years people leadership experience.
• History of leading high-performing sales teams through periods of rapid growth in the data center sector.
• Proven ability to develop executive-level relationships with C-suite leaders across data center operators, and hyperscalers.

Responsibilities

• Market Analysis: assess market intelligence, including market characteristics, trends, and growth potential; Daikin’s position vs competitors and needs of standing and target accounts.
• Strategic Planning: develop and drive business strategy for the Data Center vertical market; provide updates to leadership and gather feedback from field and customers.
• Key Customer Planning & Execution: elevate professionalism of Data Center team and scale complex solutions with field, manufacturing, and Rep leadership.
• Stakeholder Coordination: lead implementation of vertical market strategy with internal customers; monitor competitor product and marketing activities.
• Marketing: collaborate with marketing on materials, trade shows, and visibility; identify speaker events and publishing opportunities.
• Team Management: lead a team of Data Center experts; drive pipeline growth; hire/train headcount and promote performance management.
